"To seek truth and nothing more."Working with yourself in blunt honesty helps flush out what it is you really seek in these realms (remote viewing). As I venture into the realm of remote viewing unaided by formal training other than what I find in books, I discovered what so many have discovered before me in meditative, lucid dream state preparation for a remote viewing expierience. Sooner or later you will probably be tested by your own conscience in a very vivid and memorable experience to state your purpose. Each of us must find our own motivation. My answer: "To seek truth and nothing more," filled me with a sense that this was a necessary stamp needed on my passport to continue further. Most importantly this very private and personal answer was mine and mine alone. If honesty is not a situational relativistic qaulity, maybe my answer is sufficient and will also harmonize closely with an answer that might also work for you. The important thing is your answer must be honest to yourself.
Most likely it was me talking to myself and nothing more. Yet from my reading I find that each remote viewer (which I am not yet able to call myself, and may never be able to call myself) passes through a similar self-examination.
Here follows my personal experience taken from my diary:
Last night I located an important mental switch or padlock to a doorway to a dimension within each of us during meditation in one of my so-called Spiritual Innocence periods. I was confronted by two immense powers separately, first by the power of evil, second by the power of good. The evil power offered to bargain with me no less, literally offered me a "test drive" with it to see if I would like what it could show me through access, “just sort of let yourself go this direction, it will be okay and I will give you all you ask for…” sort of seduction. It gave me one tug, then a second, then a third, and forth. It was very logical and it was very tender in stroking my needs. I waved it on and stood uncommitted to it.
The good power then approached me but did not materialize, and asked me to restate my purpose and made no promises or offers whatsoever. With the good power I tried to extract a bargain. "I want to serve you," was my tender of gift to the good power, or perhaps my supplicant’s plea. I tried to negotiate with the good power and explain that I wanted to serve only its team but I quickly came to understand this wasn't about negotiation. I was being forced to focus and logically state my purpose.
Lying to this spirit of good was not an option. Deception was not an option. Threat was not an option. Just as I thought the good spirit had left me in a spiritual untamed wilderness alone, I understood my purpose. My purpose was to seek truth nothing more. As soon as I committed to that understanding, and restated it "to seek truth, nothing more," as I called it out into a misty grey-dark void, both powers came back, the evil power fully materialized as a beautiful bluish, sinewy, handsome bald, naked creature, the good power was present but remained invisible. Together they opened an immense set of celestial double doors to a new dimension. Ironically evil was on the left side door and good was on the right side door as they each pushed open their side of the immense doorway system in unison.
They worked as a team and pushed open these immense galactic doors and let me know as I step through the threshold this was the key to access. They imparted to me this message and I think I am repeating correctly: "Do not judge what you see past these gates, it is what it is." I sense I now hold an essential understanding and key to accessing this realm, but I am surprised with one of the guiding dictums: Do not judge what you see past these gates. It is what it is.”
Hopefully, I will come to understand the “Do not judge..” dictum. It seems heavily obtuse and filled with immorality contrary to my upbringing and where I much prefer to go in this search. I pray I will remain strong in the face of whatever may follow. In my heart this was not a Faustian Bargain.
